About Cryptosense

Cryptosense software is changing the way companies use cryptography, making it easy for anyone to encrypt data and manage keys securely, both in their own systems and in the cloud.

Our flagship product, Cryptosense Analyzer Platform, is the market leader in finding vulnerabilities in the way cryptography is used and deployed. It is trusted by major organizations worldwide to protect their most sensitive applications. Our customers run the critical infrastructure that we all depend on, including 70% of interbank messages and 50% of global forex trades.

The Job

We are looking for a software engineering intern to join us for a short-term contract - 12 weeks minimum, up to 6 months. In particular we’re interested in candidates who are available for possible recruitment at the end of the internship.

The exact project you will work on will depends on your particular skills, but some examples are:

  • Add a REST API to an existing product.
  • Write and deploy a new CLI tool to our customers.
  • Create an analytics tool to help customers visualize their cryptographic usage.
  • Make a reactive webapp for our customers to use.
  • Add a parser for a new cryptographic keytype to our stack.

In all cases, you will be expected to design, implement and test a solution to a real-world problem.

About You

We are looking for a university student or recent graduate with a strong academic record. Ideally you will be studying Software Engineering. Prior software engineering experience is strongly preferred. Experience with cryptography or security is less important. You must be available to work full-time for at least 3 months.

As a company, we mostly work in Python, Javascript and OCaml. An ideal internship candidate would be comfortable working in one or more of these languages, but experience with other languages will be considered.

What are the benefits?

  • You will have a chance to make a real difference our product - no "science projects", no making the tea.
  • We work with interesting applications of complex technology.
  • Focus on personal development: you will chance to learn new software languages and programming techniques.
